About Liza

Liza’s in a swimwear slump and wants out of it! She is inspired to have a style refresh and buy a new swimsuit for the first time in years. She loves blues and really wants a swimsuit that is sexy, well cut, and will fit well. She’s open to showing a little cheek and doesn’t like strappy tan lines. She’s petite all around and doesn’t need a lot of support in her swimsuit. She genuinely loves the ocean and loves the sun; in other words she is a sun/ocean goddess! She lives in Baltimore, Maryland now and is making it a priority to go to the Chesapeake Bay or the beach this summer. Liza does some light swimming but mostly wants to feel stylish and sexy in her swimsuit and she soaks in the rays.

As I began conceptualizing Liza’s capsule, I kept thinking “cute alert!” from Emily in Paris. This is what I want for Liza – “cute alert!” meets ocean/sun goddess. Because Liza wants sexy, stylish, and fit-focused, I thought of Montce Swim and specifically the Tori Bandeau and Lulu Bottom in the new Wave Repeat print. I love the wave print, it’s subtle but fun and made of beautiful ocean blues, perfect for an ocean/sun goddess. The Tori Bandeau won’t give Liza tan lines (it does have optional straps) but it will give her petite bust a lift and look very cute doing it. It has a tie back, making it adjustable and comfortable. The Lulu Bottoms are a little cheeky and a classic slight v cut (re: very sexy). I added the matching Sarong as a versatile coverup for the beach or the bay. BONUS: Montce is woman-owned!

Since style is a priority for Liza, I chose the Wave Sun Bucket Hat by Lack of Color. The soft yellow is beautiful against the blues of the Montce bikini and the coordinating sun and wave embroidery screams ocean/sun goddess.

The Newport Shell Necklace by Galley Los Angeles has simple white shells and pearls, making it an easy jewelry addition to Liza’s bikini.

Since Liza will be spending a lot of time on the water this summer, I chose a larger tote for her to hold water bottles, snacks, books, and extra sunscreen. The Mesh Beach Tote by Kalidi in Sky Blue is the right size and perfectly matches her bikini. It’s also machine washable and budget friendly!
