About DIDI

Didi’s planning to visit the beach this summer. She doesn’t live by the water so this is a real treat! She and her best friend booked an ocean front room along 30A and she couldn’t be happier. Didi’s looking for a sexy bikini, but doesn’t want anything too skimpy. She’s also loving the crochet coverup trend and would like one. She’s an all around medium with an A cup bust. As far as colors and prints, she likes tropical prints and wants one on her new suit. She lives in Indianapolis and doesn’t wear too much tropical clothing, making her swimsuit and capsule special. For the other items in her capsule, she’d prefer neutrals so she can reuse them during the summers in Indy.

For Didi’s sexy bikini, I chose Citrine Swim’s Penny Top and Jessa Bottoms in Tropical Dreams. I mean, the print name says it all! The top is sexy and strappy with a cut that is very on trend. It can also be worn as a bandeau or the straps can be worn straight around the neck. It also has removable pads. The bottoms provide moderate coverage (read: not too skimpy) but have a high leg and slight v-shape, also making them very sexy and trendy. BONUS: Citrine is woman-owned!

Since Didi will be living in her swimsuit during this trip, I chose a cute crochet skirt as her coverup. The Pier to Pier Sheer Crochet Coverup Skirt in white from Lulu’s is super cute with a solid waistband for a good fit and scalloped edging. Unlike a lot of crochet coverups out there, the crochet of this skirt is 100% cotton.

I chose the Lack of Color Boater in Seashells because it’s neutral and could easily be worn on a summer day back in Indy without feeling overwhelmingly beachy. The pretty seashell details on the strap are a fun tropical nod that don’t overwhelm the hat.

The Aire Ursa Sunglasses in Bright Gold are neutral, sexy, and very trendy.

The Tkees Serena Slides in Cream are an elevated rubber sole sandal that works just as well as the beach as it back in Indy.

The Mar y Sol Lauren Bag is cute and just big enough for beach essentials (she’ll be using her hotel’s towels!) but small enough to use as a handbag when she’s back home. BONUS: Mar y Sol is an ethical and sustainable brand!
