About Briana
Briana loves soft pink and would like some guidance on wearing it in a sophisticated, yet fun way in her swim wardrobe. As a mom of a toddler girl, she’s swamped with saccharine versions of light pink that are popular for kids making it hard for her to imagine wearing her favorite color without feeling childish. As far as styles go, Briana’s prefers full coverage bottoms and loves v-necklines. Briana swims, but is more concerned with style and comfort than with the swim performance of her wardrobe. She’s open to fun garments and accessories that won’t make her sophisticated pink look too neutral, and wants to see where my imagination takes her swim wardrobe! Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to share Briana’s soft pink swim capsule with a special Breast Cancer Awareness accessory added to it.

When building Briana’s capsule, I started by selecting a beautiful, flattering one-piece suit in soft pink by Melissa Odabash. It features a full-coverage bottom, as well as a ruched waist. The neckline is a deep-v with ruching details and removable cups. This suit is a beauty and will fit and flatter Briana well for seasons to come!
To ground the soft pink I chose Zimmermann’s cotton pareo and matching head scarf that feature soft pink with browns and a subtle warm yellow in a paisley pattern. The warm browns and yellows compliment the cooler, clear pink. Not to mention this pareo can be worn as a short or long skirt, as a wrap around her shoulders, or any number of ways as a dress. The chic matching head scarf can be worn in Briana’s hair, tied around her neck or wrist, or as a bag accessory tied around the handle.

Since Briana isn’t opposed to fun, I took a risk by including this cute yet trendy Poppy Love heart shaped sunglasses in pink by Chloé. Having sophisticated styled doesn’t mean you also can’t have a little fun with your garments and accessories- this is what gives sophistication personality. I love that these sunglasses have a gold rim with a floating pink gradient heart shaped lenses, classing them up from what you’d find in a girls’ department.
The Woody Lace Trimmed Sandals by Chloé add a bit of texture with the lace detailing, while staying consistent with the soft pink and warm tans and browns of the capsule. They also provide easy slip on and off comfort.
