About Andi
Andi went to Italy last year and can’t get it out of her head. She’s incorporated some of her favorite things about her experience into her everyday life like cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables and she’s currently perfecting her pizza dough. She’s embracing a new side of herself is interested in a new swim wardrobe. She’s tried a lot of styles and brands but nothing felt right. She’s not a surfer, nor is she a “girlie girl.” She’s just herself and wants to feel that at the pool, too. She’s got an A cup bust and long torso so she preferes two pieces. Andi likes the swim shorts style for the coverage and style. Regarding colors, she prefers bright tones and simple prints. Nothing too tropical or neon. Some days at the pool she’s really into swimming, other days she wants to just soak it all in and read her book.

As Andi described her experiences and influences I kept envisioning bright red and white. Maybe it was the pizza! I chose the Bernadette Textured Top and Poppy Textured Bottoms in Ruby by Yellow the Label. Coincidentally, this recycled fabric is made in Italy, and the bikini pieces are made in Italy at a woman-owned factory. The top has removable cups and a tie-back with adjustable shoulder straps. “Full coverage but cute” is how Yellow the Label describes these bottoms and I couldn’t agree more. BONUS: Yellow the Label is an ethical and sustainable company!
I fell in love with the Market Recycled Linen Shorts by Yellow the Label. They fit Andi’s requests perfectly and will look great with her new bikini. I love that they are loose fitting with an elastic waist making them easy to wear and casual. BONUS: Yellow the Label is an ethical and sustainable company! To wear with the shorts, I chose the H&M Linen Shirt in Red. Andi can choose how much to button and whether or not to roll up her sleeves based on the weather and how she’s feeling.
I went with all bright white accessories for Andi. The shorts bikini has a kind of retro feel to it, and I liked the Isabel Marant White Square Sunglasses to match that retro chic vibe.
Vanessa Mooney’s Lola Pearl Necklace is made of freshwater pearls and is on a shorter 15″ chain, adding a bright white natural element to Andi’s capsule. This necklace will really pop against the red swimsuit and red linen shirt on the days she’s soaking up the sun poolside!
The bright white Versace Jeans Couture White Shelly Slides add a nod to Italian designer fashion in Andi’s capsule. These slides are also rubber and slip ons, making them practical for the pool and easy to wear.
Fanny packs, or hip packs, are having a moment! I chose the Stoney Clover Lane Classic Jumbo Fanny Pack in Blanc for Andi. She can use this to hold her essentials at the pool or while she’s out browsing local markets.
For a little shimmer, I added Supergoop! Glow Oil SPF 50. This moisturizing oil will also provide SPF 50 protection for 80 minutes in the pool before it’s recommended to reapply. BONUS: Supergoop! is a woman-owned brand.
