About Emma
Emma’s going to a beach party and wants an outfit that reflects her classic style and sweet disposition. She also doesn’t love to swim; she’s there for the social fun and the frosé. She prefers suits in classic bikini styles. The last time she bought one was when Victoria’s Secret made their own swimwear years ago. Emma describes herself as feminine, classic, yet trendy. Lavender is her favorite color and it looks beautiful on her cool toned skin. And, Emma doesn’t like wearing hats. She spends too much time on her hair to cover it up!
Towel ? Mask ? Sandals ? Bikini Top & Bottom ? Coverup ? Sunglasses ? Tote
For a sweet lady like Emma, a classic floral bikini is just right. I chose Faithfull the Brand’s Valensole bikini with a pretty lavender floral print and ruffle details (top and bottom). The tie top and bottom are an easy style choice for Emma’s desire to try a classic bikini style. Also, the ties on the top and bottom won’t hinder her socializing and frosé drinking. BONUS: By purchasing this bikini, Emma is supporting an ethical and sustainable business!
Paired with this classic pretty bikini are two trendier pieces – the Plush tie dye tank dress and the Vineyard Vines ombré flecked straw tote. The structure of the bodice and the gentle ruffle detail on the straps and down the front make this coverup a proper woman’s dress. And, the perfect size straw tote with half classic straw, and half lavender ombré suits Emma’s tastes perfectly. Emma will also be able to wear the coverup dress and use the tote when she’s not at the beach.
The One King’s Lane white and seaglass pareo towel doubles as a wrap she can use as a skirt or a poncho while lounging surf-side after taking a quick dip to cool off.
Classic white cross-strap sandals by Seychelles and retro white sunglasses by Balmain ground the outfit, and will look good with other classic pieces in Emma’s wardrobe.
The matching lavender Pitusa pima cotton mask keeps her and others safe when social distancing isn’t an option at the beach and is easily accessible if worn as a bracelet on her wrist.
Is there such a thing as a “swim mask” or waterproof mask ?
Hi Coco, thanks for your great question. I’ll refer you to the CDC’s page on staying safe at at pools and during water activities: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/parks-rec/aquatic-venues.html. Be well!
Thanks for including a coordinating mask ! So important these days !
Agreed, Robin! It’s so important to keep ourselves and others safe by wearing a mask. Be well! 🙂
