About Kay

Kay’s musts for a new swimsuit are full-coverage bottoms and stylish, not frumpy.  She’s struggled with finding suits that she’ll feel comfortable in coverage-wise that she also feels stylish and sexy wearing.  Kay doesn’t like bright colors but is open to prints.  She like neutrals but that usually means black or white; she’s open to other color ideas.  She’s usually a size large.  Although she prefers full-coverage bottoms, she’s comfortable showing more of her cleavage and back.  Kay now enjoys soaking up the sun while wearing a swimsuit.  Her kids are teenagers so she’s more comfortable with features like beading on her swimsuit than when they were younger and she was more hands on in the pool.

I imagined Kay as a bronze goddess and loved the idea of outfitting her in brown and bronze tones.  I chose items from Everything But Water for Kay as she also mentioned her preference to shop all items in her capsule from one store.  For Kay’s suit, I chose the Lace Up Beaded Plunge One Piece Swimsuit by Bleu Rod Beattie in Dark Chocolate.  The suit provides full-coverage but has a sexy beaded lattice front and back (there are no beads on the back!).  It also features removable bust cups and adjustable straps.  The leg hits just right – not too high and not too low.  The Dark Chocolate color is neutral but saturated, and brightened by the wood bead detailing.

The Le Specs Outta Love Oval Sunglasses in Tort are stylish but not too trendy for Kay.  They’re also a classic toasty tortoise, which goes with everything including her new suit!

The Havianas Firework Flip Flops in Rust are bronze, easy to wear, and fun with the square toe.

The Naghedi Large Neoprene Basket Weave Tote in Cacao is packable, water-friendly, and big enough for Kay’s towel, book, and water.  It also includes a small matching pouch for Kay’s keys and other essentials that need to stay dry.

Since Kay is a bronze goddess I had to include Farmhouse Fresh’s Lustre Drench Instant Glow Dry Oil.  It’s all natural and provides a warm glow that dries on your skin without feeling waxy or oily.  Kay will be radiant!

I chose the Natalie Martin Kate Wrap Maxi Dress for Kay’s coverup.  The Jungle Print in Moss Green is beautiful in neutrals, exactly as Kay wanted.  It will look gorgeous draped and flowing over Kay’s new dark chocolate suit – the two will compliment each other.  The long sleeves can be left long or rolled up as feels comfortable to Kay.
