Leah’s going on a cruise to the Bahamas! She’s interested in several outfit ideas for all of the activities she has planned. When shopping for swimwear previously, she didn’t think too much about it. She’s excited to try a new approach by working with me! Leah describes her style as retro-inspired, yet current and is open to something cheeky on the bottoms but wants a bralette top. Leah’s Capsule is the outfit I suggested for her sea days on the cruise ship – perfect for bopping around on the ship!

For her swimsuit, I chose the Happy Asteracea Scape Sporty Bralette Bikini Top and Happy Asteracea Vitta High Rise/High Leg Bikini Bottom from Maaji’s collaboration with Smiley! The print is retro-inspired and colorful. The top is Leah’s requested bralette style, with adjustable straps and removable cups. The bottoms have cheeky coverage, high leg, and high-waist making it current. And, both pieces are reversible giving Leah four style combinations in one suit! Maaji doesn’t share the “maajical” print it reverses to, but knowing this brand it will be fun and colorful. BONUS: Maaji is a B-Corp!

I wanted to choose a skirt for Leah to slip on when she’s not sunbathing or in the pool. Skirts as coverups are very popular this season which matches Leah’s “current” style. I chose a matching skirt with Maaji’s Happy Asteracea Alison Short Skirt. It also has a high-waist and fun side ties, making the ruching and length slightly adjustable. When Leah wears this on the cruise, she’ll look retro-inspired, current, and fun! BONUS: Maaji is a B-Corp!

For Leah’s accessories, I chose a mix of retro-inspired and current, but all coordinating. Because her suit is quite colorful with an all over print, I chose neutral tans and whites for her accessories. These can also be restyled with other looks in Leah’s closet!

Her sunglasses are the Olympic Cat Eye Sunglasses in white. They are retro-inspired and chic!

The Schutz Dalle Cut Out Sandals in white are also retro-inspired with a cork base and white upper. The chunky heel is on trend this season and elevates Leah’s swim look for when she’s at a ship restaurant or shopping.

I added a light SPF lip with the Coola Mineral Liplux Organic SPF 30 in Skinny Dip to give her lips a little shimmer and sun protection.

How fun is this adjustable belt bag?! Hat Attack’s Straw Belt Bag can be worn around the waist or converted to a crossbody. It’s perfect for holding a few essentials, like her room key and her liplux!

Madewell’s Straw Bucket Hat is an easy choice to match her overall current look and keep the sun off her face!
